Aih Ahi Ahi.. I have to change quickly my location handling. I want to pack to much in one locations and forgot that QSP handles one location as one command. That means, if I have a strange behavior of correct code in a sub-location going from line 200-400, the player shows me no error but doesn’t set variables due to a coding mistake at line 5000. So no super long locations.. I split those in shorter ones and just have more GT or GS actions. Helps with debugging.. and I mean a LOOOOT. 😀
When I started to split, I also split the starting selections. Around 350 variables get set to start a specific scenario. When you have 125 scenarios in such a location, that is a very long script. And yeah I noticed that I didn’t created 125 starting options, but 625.. WUPS ^^ Yes, that is to much, I am a weirdo but not totally insane.. yet. 😉 I will change that to a reasonable amount of starts.. we run a discussion on Discord about that, you can read up or also provide input. I split the TV location I wrote for 4 Parent starts into 4 locations to keep things smaller and easier to debug. But I also started to debug every sub-location I finished right away. The first release.. not to far out now.. should also be rather stable. I do not debug all of the display text flow, just to many options, but as they are in the same location, I would get an error if it would contain a coding mistake.. hence, should run fine.
And that was the short update for today, I go back to work.
