Yesterday I removed over 40 old GL scripts from the game, I kept them to understand certain mechanics better. Beside I removed the beverage handling, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and integrated them into the nutrition system, they add calories now to the intake. I do not need any references to GL anymore, I understand the scripts most like better as the GL crew. The nutrition system also added me a great location to intercept events, as is called often but not to often to put strain on the processing of the game.
I made also a list of my old quest lines, which need some love. The content I wrote in the beginning (my QSP learning phase), need some attention and as I am way better with AI content creation.. also more content. I will do those quick after the Secretary and Nurse jobs are in. The town secretary is done for the first part, I still have 2 promotions to do, they are prepared, I just need to add the content.. but I do the PA (Personal Assistant) first. That way the player can play on as the bridge to get the PA position, when rejected or never got it offered, is in and written.
As I fixed some bugs in the restaurant.. some were just sloppy shit from my part, I also ran into a TODO in a side quest.. and finished that too. As i changed pictures and cleaned out pictures not used anymore from the old GL content (not fully done, but a huge chunk is removed) I expect some missing displays. If you run into missing pictures, please let me know. I removed around 500mb.. quite a few \ud83d\ude09
What also means the the next game version will be a full download for all players, there will be no Update Pack as you would end with to much clutter on your drive (Your saves will still work!). Sorry for that, but Play Me is now not a changed version of GL, it became it’s own game after I changed Arousal, fertility handling, food and beverages, the restaurants and shops. I still will change the Model Agency and Gym. Will most likely add a Gym to the town as well, to make things easier to reach and options for different content per location.
I will make the cheat page a start selection, play with or without cheats. This way everybody gets what they want. The idea is to play without cheats.. obviously :p
Also started.. long way to go.. the Journal rewrite. Is a ‘little’ more complex as in GL, as the ‘Mother’ is a 2 liner of code in the GL Family description, in PM i stand on 71 lines so far. Why so many? It needs to reflect the choices you do when starting the game and the changes happening during the game. Is a little IF nightmare.. but once I have the mother logic done, the father is just a copy past.. all you can do with the mother, you can do with the father. The father incest is in to a certain point, I still have bathroom, kitchen (part done) and parent bedroom to do with display and events. Bedroom and Living room are done, were watching TV is on a different level compared to the GL version. Mother is to come, but the vote for incest with the mother was rather small.. a vast majority wanted Dad content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What brings me to the starting options. I made a check yesterday with the AI, if the AI is able to fill up those variables to start the game. I will first make a cleanup and remove more unwanted GL init content, but the test and check I did showed that the AI can do the changes. After the months of training it starts to code QSP better and better. So, beside I will add the prose texts to the not implemented selections and the AI will add the variables after and make the selection playable depending to the text I wrote. If you see a TODO at the end of the scenario description, that means the specific content is not yet implemented and the selection will more play like a general game start with the settings done from your choices, but will play and not crash like now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you run into a bug or picture not displaying, please take the time to report them to me with the save file BEFORE the bug happened, missing pictures I just need the screen shot of the game screen.
